Deeper underlying feelings are in conflict with the straightforward artifice of the monopoly style house images. <image:title>Works on Paper - White on Black</image:title>
<image:caption>This work is oil and encaustic on paperboard. Various pieces of paperboard are fused together with hot wax. The irregular shape is the results of the combined shapes that are left to become a one-of-a-kind silhouette. The surface of the painting is then built up with hot wax, pigment and found objects. In this work the found objects are obscured, remaining embed beneath the wax and paint. Oil paint is then dripped over the work further obscuring the wax and object. The resultant work is a dynamic textured image.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Flags - Flag #15</image:title>
<image:caption>Title: Flag #15_Medium: acrylic on canvas_Size: 63” X 42” This is one of a series of 50 painting of and about flags. Each work is unique in color and artistic intent. The works are not intended to be political, but perhaps that is not possible given the use of a powerful symbol that is universally recognized. Initially, my intent was to apply color and brush stroke to a static image that is presented as flat. In this case, white, blue and turgouise creating a realistic cartoon. However, no work stand alone but is influenced by the events, time, and place in which it is created.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Title: Flag #16_Medium: acrylic on canvas_Size: 63” X 42” This is one of a series of 50 painting of and about flags. Each work is unique in color and intent while the image remains mostly unchanged. The works were not intended to make an overt political statement, but rather to explore a broader understanding of the events, places and time in which it was created. In this case; a turquoise field and pinkish stars support the red and white stripes creating a realistic cartoon.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Title: Flag #20_Medium: acrylic on canvas_Size: 63” X 42” By this point I am well into the series of 50 flags. Each work has been learning experience. The exploration of color and stroke continue. This painting take a decided turn towards looser brush strokes and bolder use of color. The orange/yellow field supports yellow stars and the orange/yellow stripes are intermittent with blotches of blue and white..</image:caption>

The works are not framed, but could be by the purchaser. My reluctance in framing the work is to preserve the painted edges. <image:caption>Title: Landscape_Medium: enamel and lacquer on panel_Size: 8 3/4” X 9 3/4” (framed), 5” X 7” (image"). This is part of a series of expressive paintings that explore landscape, the horizon and cloud forms. The works in this series come framed and are part of the work. Our landscape is ever present both observed and unconsidered. My paintings are not intended to be a specific place, but rather a collective understanding of form and its relationship of sky and ground. In this painting a seemingly massive cloud engulfs the composition.</image:caption>
